1915: A Widening War, Problems without Answers

Following upon the success of the 2014 Centenary Conference, The University of Leeds Weetwood Hall Conference Centre will be hosting distinguished historians including Sir Ian Kershaw, Gary Sheffield, Robert Johnson, Clare Makepeace, Nick Saunders, John Bourne, Stephen Badsey and Jessica Meyer in the second of this series of Centenary conferences. Topics for discussion will include Leadership on the Western Front; The Dardanelles/Gallipoli Campaign; The Indian Army in Mesopotamia; Propaganda; Bereavement and Loss; Sex, the Citizen and the Soldier; The birth of Plastic Surgery; Londons’s West End in 1915, British and French Medical Services; Britain’s Heritage of Great War Locations; Faith under the Challenge of War; The Lasting Impact of the Great War on Adolf Hitler.
